5 Free Internet Marketing Tools ALL Indie Devs Should Use [UPDATED]
Free Internet marketing tools are in no short supply. The challenge is finding a good one. Sadly, most free Internet marketing tools aren’t even worth their nonexistent price tag. Either they’re junk, or they’re amazing…after you upgrade to a paid subscription. But fear not fellow cheapskates. Here are five free Internet marketing tools that are just as great as they are free.
5 Free Internet Marketing Tools

HubSpot’s Marketing Grader
This handy little Web and mobile app from the folks at HubSpot is downright amazing. Without taking a cent, Marketing Grader analyzes your site, social media presence and overall online influence. After you’ve been analyzed, you get a grade and a list of actionable items to improve your score. - HubSpot’s Blog Topic Generator
If you find yourself struggling to think of blog topics, struggle no more! Our friends at HubSpot have come to the rescue…for free…again. Simply visit the Generator online, type three nouns into the noun fields and click “Give Me Blog Topics!” Not only will the Generator spit back topics, it will format those topics in handy optimized titles. - WordPress SEO by Yoast
For those of you using WordPress blogs to drive traffic to your game’s site, SEO by Yoast is a must have. This nifty little plugin blends art and science to optimize your posts as you write. Start by selecting your focus keyword, then simply follow the plugin’s suggestions for things like keyword density, readability and more to craft a post with serious first-page search results potential. - Google Analytics
Now a days everyone seems to have an analytics tool. But just like the Die Hard franchise, I argue the original is the best. Google Analytics has everything you need in an analytics tool, plus some. For $0 you get traffic analysis; campaign tracking; click tracking; syncing with Web Master Tools, AdWords, etc.; and more. - HootSuite
Ever wake up promising yourself you’re going to tweet, post and more only to wind up in bed that night saying tomorrow will be different? Now there’s no excuse. With HootSuite, you can schedule social media activity ahead of time so your followers never feel neglected. With the free version of HootSuite, schedule activity on up to five networks.

about 12 years agoFantastic as ever Emmy, thank you very much. I've just had a go at some of these tools and found them to be quite good. I was already a big fan of Hootsuite as I use that for a couple of my clients, glad you added it to your list.

about 12 years agoThanks Joanna! Glad you found it useful. HootSuite is great. It'd be even better if it added G+ profiles in addition to pages... That's the only big downfall I see to it right now.

When I wake up in the morning and see my Klout score has gone up..I know it's gonna be a good day ;) Cheers, Logan
